New Roofs For Central Bedfordshire College
Working for our client Tego Roofing Limited, we were engaged to deliver their flat roof solutions to a major new build and refurbishment project for Ashe Construction Limited at Central Bedfordshire College.
The project took place in two phases over 12 months, and required a team of 10 Rooftek Advance technicians to be on site at peak times.
Phase 1 involved the total refurbishment of two of the College’s blocks. The buildings had a combined roof area of 1800 m2, and the existing felt roofing was nearing the end of its life. Leaving the old felt in situ, it was overlaid it with tissue-backed insulation board and a fully adhered, fleece-back Renolit membrane. Our solution allowed the college to stay fully functional throughout, and has extended the life of the roof by at least 40 years.
Phase 2 of the project required Rooftek Advance were instructed by Tego Roofing Limited to work on new buildings with a combined roof area of 1800m2. This involved metal decking being fixed to four of the roofs involved fixing metal decking, EcoTherm insulation board, and a mechanically fixed Renolit membrane. We also weatherproofed a new concrete roof, using a tapered insulation scheme and a fleece-backed membrane.
What our client says
