Although we are experienced in working with many different flat roofing solutions, for the majority of our projects we choose to use the Renolit Alkorplan range of products.
The Renolit Group is an international leader in the manufacture of high-quality plastic films and related products for technical applications in many sectors, including the roofing industry. In our professional opinion, Renolit’s single ply roofing products are far superior to anything else available.
The Renolit Alkorplan range consists of thermoplastic PVC-P roofing membranes which are supplied in pre-fabricated 1m, 1.6m or 2m roll widths. Depending upon the application, the Renolit roofing membranes are fastened mechanically, adhesively bonded in place, or loose laid and ballasted on the roof. Hot air is used to weld membrane laps and interfaces. The roofing membranes are installed without the use of adhesives (which often have a limited life). The result is a long-lasting, smooth roof area on which the welded seams are stronger than the roofing membranes themselves.
All edges and details of the roof area are finished in membrane coated aluminium which we form using specialist equipment in our own workshop to obtain a perfect fit.
As well as being highly durable, Renolit is extremely versatile, making it suitable for any flat roof: We can create different aesthetic finishes including a raise profile ‘rolled lead’ effect, work around skylights and vents, and fit solar panels to finished roofs using special fixings.
Key benefits of Renolit
Life expectancy of over 35 years, certified by the BBA (British Board of Agreement, BBA approval 10/4808).
Finished roof has a smooth appearance owing to homogeneous welded seams.
Weighs less than one-fifth of conventional, multi-layer solutions.
Fire-resistance class up to A1.
Can be installed at virtually any time of the year.
Renolit products have been used throughout the world for almost 40 years, and numerous customers all over the world have placed their confidence in Renolit for the waterproofing of their roofs.
If you’re having a flat roof fitted, it’s the perfect time to consider adding insulation. Insulating the area beneath the waterproofing membrane on your roof is a far more effective way of retaining heat and keeping out cold air than insulating between rafters. We can fit EcoTherm insulation panels in depths from 25 – 150mm, helping you to stay warm and reduce your heating bills!
